and Everyone Interested in Outdoor Art

The Helson Gallery, Credit Valley Artisans and the Norval Community Association are sponsoring the Ontario Plein Air Society sanctioned, 6th Annual Plein Air Competition
on August 15th in the village of Norval.

Norval has a rich history that includes painters from the Group of Seven who recognized the beauty of this little hamlet on the banks of the Credit River. The local Presbyerian Church and Manse was the home of Lucy Maud Montgomery for nine years during the Great Depression and before the second World War.

              12:30 pm - Painting Completed & back at

12:45pm -  Judging Starts
            1:30pm -   Awards Announced
Registration Fee: $15 for non-OPAS members,
                               CVA and OPAS members free.
Prizes: $200 - 1st; $100 - 2nd; $50 - 3rd; $50 - People's Choice

Safety Precautions – COVID-19: Please note that every precaution will be taken to insure the safety of participants and those in attendance.  Painters and observers are required to practice social distancing of two meters and to wear masks in situations where appropriate distancing cannot be observed.

All Participants will have their works and bio on website for a year

Advance registration is suggested in order that we may alert artists if the event is cancelled due to severe weather conditions.  Note: cancellation only in the event of a severe weather advisory.
