I really enjoyed painting the bridge of Norval! 

Regardless of the subject, my goal is to find the light, and to use colour and brush work to bring the viewer into my painting. I strive to go beyond what is in front of me and use that to tell a story within my piece. 

Painting Plein Air is only something I began recently. My time had been limited to what I could create in my studio while my children were at home with me, but now that they are a little bit older, I have been able to pack a picnic and venture out into the Canadian wilderness (cornfields & parks) with my painting friends.
